PEACE MAKING PROCESS
The Peace Making Process is a way for students to learn how to communicate their wants and needs to another student. If a student says or does something that another student doesn’t like they could give that student a Peace Making card. At the end of the learning session, the students will have a peace conference with each other and another adult to talk out a situation. At this point, no one will be disciplined since they are working out an issue.

CAMP DOJO
DOJO is a positive reinforcement program that rewards the students for work done, good attitudes, positive friendships and many more activities that make the classroom a great place to be.
Each time the student completes an assignment, Gets an “A” on a test in Gen. ed., helps another student, says a positive thing or gets acknowledged for something, they get to hit a button to get a point on the DOJO point board.
When the students get to a point goal they will get a class reward…. Pizza party, extra recess, game time, fun day.. Kids choice.

Individual Behavioral Plans
There will be students that will need to be on individual behavioral plans in my classroom. These students may need help understanding their emotions or behaviors by being on a behavior plan that punishes negative behaviors and rewards positive behaviors. Sometimes students will need to sit in the thinking area to calm down or to think about their actions. On rare occasions, when students are hurting themselves or risk hurting others, physical intervention may be used. These behavior plans are usually attached to the student’s IEP plan.
